After ageing in oak barrels of different sizes for at least 2 years it refines in the bottle for 5 to 6 months. It is most appreciated for its intense ruby red colour with slight garnet reflections, it is persistent in the nose with hints of durmast, elegant and austere in the mouth.
Situated inthe northern part of the commune of Saint-Estephe, on the slopes facing the Gironde, the vines of this Château have their vines planted on a generous soil made of gravel and clay according to the grape variety. The slope effect is a very good natural draining and the proximity of river keep stable temperature comparing to the land-heart. These ideal geographic conditions in addition to a clement weather, has given a great Saint-Estephe wine.
