Plantation VC Barbados 2013 rum , 70cl

A limited-edition 2013-vintage Barbados rum from Plantation that was initially matured in Barbados for eight years in ex-bourbon casks, before being transported to Europe where it was matured for a further year in ex-Ferrand Cognac casks. Vibrant aromas of coconut, orange blossom, peach, banana, vanilla, roasted almonds, cinnamon and black pepper fill the nose, complemented by notes of honey-drizzled pastries, hazelnut, gingerbread, tobacco, milk chocolate and caraway on the palate. The finish is long and fruity, with lingering hints of lemons, pears, liquorice, toffee and pepper.
