Made from the Cortese grape variety, grown in vineyards with a cool mesoclimate; these are generally north facing and up to about 350 metres above sea level. The wine gets its name from the town of Gavi, situated in the south-east of Piemonte, around which the vineyards are planted. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged briefly on its fine lees. It shows white flower and green fruit aromas, with a touch of honey and minerality on the palate.

Beau Joie Rosé is a fresh and fruity Champagne from Bertrand Senecourt. The outer casing is made from recycled copper (that itself is fully recyclable) and will keep the bottle colder for longer. A blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay, this is crisp with a gentle sweetness.

Alsatian Rieslings have all this, coupled with a rich depth of flavour. Pale yellow in colour, highly aromatic with a lemony character and a crisp, fresh palate, this Kleinfels Riesling has a sublime complexity. Layers of citrus fruit and a steely mineral backbone support the bright acidity right through to a long, ethereal finish. Cellarmaster, Cédric Thiébault, historically sources the grapes for our Besserat de Bellefon Bleu Brut in the best villages of Champagne. This cuvee is the fruit of a unique and very specific method of champagne making that has been perpetuated by Besserat de Bellefon since 1930. This consists of adding less “liqueur de tirage” (a mix of sugar, yeast and must) at the moment of bottling which creates a lighter, more diaphanous formation of effervescence. The mousse is smooth, creamy and persistent. House Gruet has been in Champagne since 1670. The winery has been passed on from generation to generation, finding fulfilment in 1975 with the launch of the first wines by Claude Gruet. He started producing 2500 bottles in 1975. He is currently working on a 20-hectares vineyard, producing from its own grapes and those of other producer they select, to produce around 2 million bottles a year in total. The Brut offers a crisp, and full-bodied sparkling wine, which has developed rich complexity and fine mousse. The allure of toasty finish from twenty-four months on tirage, is a complement to the sophisticated apple and citrus flavour. Winemaker's Note: Brilliant with ultra fine bubbles. Crazy Creatures Gruner Veltliner, Kremstal, Austria, 100% Gruner Veltliner, unoaked The brainchild of Michael Malat, the grapes for "Crazy Creatures" are grown in the small Austrian village of Palt, in the wine-growing region of Kremstal. The traditional Malat winery has been making wines in the region since 1722. A favourite among sommeliers and wine enthusiasts alike, Grüner Veltliner is the most important grape of Austria and is known for its spicy, herbal and fruity aromas and a crisp, fresh acidity. This Gruner has notes of whole grain cookies, dried barley, hazelnut flour, and baking spices lead the aromas and flavours on the forefront, followed by tart lemon and spice. Its soft texture yet zippy acidity add up to a wine that’s entirely enjoyable. A white wine that goes remarkably well with a great many dishes.

------Deutz Brut Classic is a fine non vintage blend, using equal proportions of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier rounded out by a high proportion (20 - 40%) of reserve wines. Resulting in a beautifully pure, elegant wine, with a refreshing lemony aroma and a delicate mousse. Dry and with plenty of substance. There's an aromatic floral note to the flavours of apricot, ripe apple, smoky mineral, kumquat and lemon zest in this firm bubbly, which is fine-grained and balanced, with a lively, moderate finish." -awarded 90 points by Wine Spectator, November 2011.

Pinot Grigio grapes have rather dark skins and they are left in contact with the fermenting juice for just the right amount of time to give this delicate Rosé wine its pink colour. With a fragrant nose of flowers and fresh fruit, soft and ripe on the palate, with delicate hints of raspberries this is a very easy wine to drink.

This wine was made exclusively with Chardonnay from the Santa Lucia Highlands, where early-morning sun and cooling afternoon breezes create an ideal environment for the varietal. A lovely hue of pale gold, this Chardonnay opens to a nose of golden apple, tropical fruit and toasted oak. A sip reveals flavors of pear, peach, vanilla and pineapple.This medium-bodied wine has a creamy mouthfeel and firm acidity, making it a perfect partner for cream-based pasta dishes, poached salmon with mango chutney and holiday turkey.

Deutz Hommage a William Deutz Parcelles d'Ay is created from two estate vineyards adjacent to the house itself in Ay: Cote Glaciere (1.92 ha)and Meurtet (2.42ha) The new creation by CEO Fabrice Rosset is a blend of 100% Pinot Noir and is a hommage to the founder of the house. The last time Champagne Deutz created a Blanc de Noirs was in 1975. Usually the wines from these two vineyards are blended into Deutz's other cuvees, but Michel Davesne was so impressed with it he decided to put it on it's own again. Only 6,000 bottles have been made and only 600 of them to be released in the UK.

Vineyard Notes We have selected vineyards in the area of Carcassonne and the Minervois based on grape flavour and yield. The wines are produced and bottled in association with Celliers Jean d'Alibert. Winemaking Notes The grapes were cold macerated then pressed, cold settled before fermentation. 30% of the Chardonnay was fermented in French and American oak barrels, and remained on lees in barrel, with some stirring, for six months. Tasting Notes Chardonnays come in many styles, from light and minerally to rich, buttery and oaky. We wanted to make a Chardonnay that was satisfying, yet fresh, and with a sufficiently interesting flavour to capture the imagination. From the outset, it was crucial that it would be a great accompaniment to food. This is a fresh, pine-appley wine, with a subtle hint of oak and a touch of mango and ginger Food Style Great by itself or to accompanyall fish and white meat dishes. Will work well with oriental food.

The colour is an elegant golden straw yellow with green highlights. Its aromas are radiant, revealing bright white-fleshed fruits (apple, pear, white peach), citrus fruits (lemon), floral nuances (lime blossom) and elegant blond notes (brioche and fresh nuts).
