Belle & Co is produced from fermented grape juice, like any other wine, but uses a high tech process to create this non-alcoholic product. Cellarmaster, Cédric Thiébault, historically sources the grapes for our Besserat de Bellefon Bleu Brut in the best villages of Champagne.
This cuvee is the fruit of a unique and very specific method of champagne making that has been perpetuated by Besserat de Bellefon since 1930. This consists of adding less “liqueur de tirage” (a mix of sugar, yeast and must) at the moment of bottling which creates a lighter, more diaphanous formation of effervescence. The mousse is smooth, creamy and persistent. A distinctive feature of our Bleu Brut is the absence of malolactic fermentation.

House Gruet has been in Champagne since 1670. The winery has been passed on from generation to generation, finding fulfilment in 1975 with the launch of the first wines by Claude Gruet. He started producing 2500 bottles in 1975. He is currently working on a 20-hectares vineyard, producing from its own grapes and those of other producer they select, to produce around 2 million bottles a year in total.
The Brut offers a crisp, and full-bodied sparkling wine, which has developed rich complexity and fine mousse. The island of Pantelleria is a curious, rugged volcanic outcrop, situated halfway between the Tunisian and Sicilian coasts, and it is here, in Italy's most southerly appellation, that this Passito Liquoroso is made. It's rather amazing, we think, that this beautiful, rich, baked apricot and marmalade-y dessert wine is made roughly 40 miles off the coast of Africa. But, being an island in a rather windy spot, it gets enough cooling maritime influence to balance the searing sun, resulting in a nuanced, balanced, but still brilliantly swarthy wine.

Deutz Hommage a William Deutz Parcelles d'Ay is created from two estate vineyards adjacent to the house itself in Ay: Cote Glaciere (1.92 ha)and Meurtet (2.42ha) The new creation by CEO Fabrice Rosset is a blend of 100% Pinot Noir and is a hommage to the founder of the house. The last time Champagne Deutz created a Blanc de Noirs was in 1975. Usually the wines from these two vineyards are blended into Deutz's other cuvees, but Michel Davesne was so impressed with it he decided to put it on it's own again. Only 6,000 bottles have been made and only 600 of them to be released in the UK.
