Gonzalez Byass recognised the quality potential of the grapes from the area and in 2000 they bought Finca Moncloa, a 42 acre estate on clay and limestone soils, with a Mediterranean climate, producing red grapes with great intensity.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tintilla de Rota and Petit Verdot aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. A cherry red wine with intense aromas of red and black fruits and a balanced palate with notes of fruit, spice and oak.
Lemon yellow with frosted green sparkles, clean, bright and with a very glyceric tear.
Clean and frank aromatic set, of high intensity where the notes of apricot, peach, pear, fennel and those of white flowers (chamomile, jasmine) stand out. Memories of freshly cut hay and light touches of smoke.
Velvety and silky on the palate with development towards a large volume and structure. Balanced acidity brings freshness and nerve. Long and tasty, postgustofrutal, with a retro nasal sensation even more intense than in its olfactory phase highlighting the memories of fennel and anise.
Fleurie is one of the ten crus of Beaujolais and one of the most sought after. Georges Duboeuf is one of the best known winemakers in this region to the south of Burgundy, and has been nicknamed the King of Beaujolais. Classic Fleurie with fresh cherry fruits and a fragrant, floral perfume. Concentrated fruit and light tannic presence are testament to the cru status of this wine. An attractive wine with a silky texture. Served at cellar temperature (approximately 12oC) this is a refreshing companion to a light summer lunch.
Pinot Grigio grapes have rather dark skins and they are left in contact with the fermenting juice for just the right amount of time to give this delicate Rosé wine its pink colour. With a fragrant nose of flowers and fresh fruit, soft and ripe on the palate, with delicate hints of raspberries this is a very easy wine to drink.

The Kozlovic family have been making wine in Istria ever since their winery was founded back in 1904. Currently run by Gianfranco and Antonella Kozlovic, the family work some 25 hectares of vines which are planted with local varieties like this gorgeous Teran. The hardworking couple are perfectionists at heart and are constantly working to produce the best wines possible from their historic family vineyards through a combination of modern winemaking techniques and respect for their ancestral land.
The grapes for this handsome bottling come from the family’s 30 year old Teran vines which are carefully harvested by hand. After a 10 day maceration and fermentation the young wines are transferred to oak barrels for 8 months to add further complexity to the finished wine.
The result is a delicious medium-bodied wine which exudes dark forest fruit aromas and hints of bitter chocolate. Gentle tannins and a refreshing acidity make this ideal to pair with dishes as diverse as a margherita pizza topped with buffalo mozzarella, a generous plate of charcuterie or even fish dishes. Given that Istria bears many cultural similarities to nearby Friuli in Italy, so it is no surprise that the region produces wines which offer such gastronomic potential!
Finca La Linda Malbec is an intense purple color red wine, with distinct aromas as a result of the typicity of the variety: marked red fruit and a very delicate floral note. It repeats its fruity intensity on the palate, with round and smooth texture, good maturity and great character. Its sweet tannins add strength on the palate, a long and lingering finish completes an elegant and compact red wine. Recommended pairings: A perfect match for red meat, big game hunt meat and hard cheese.
Lacryma Christi Rosso, or tears of Christ, is one of the most traditional wines from Campania. There are many stories of how Lacryma Christi received its name. One legend tells that when Jesus was ascending to Heaven, he glanced down at the earth, saw the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius and wept tears of joy at its beauty. Those tears fell on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius and vines miraculously grew in their place. Another story is based on winemaking techniques used by local monks in Campania. Lacryma Christi has been produced since the Roman Empire and as the monks didn’t have any filtering equipment, juice was instead passed through a canvas. As the wine fell drop-by-drop through the material, it was said to look like tears.
Louis Jadot Bourgogne Chardonnay
A good example of the classic style by Jadot. Well matured in french oak brings out a smoky falavours that complements the apple, peach notes with hints of mango and banana. Rounded out by malolactic fermentation bringing rich buttery, brioche notes. Sumptuous with some green notes freshening the long finish

Mendel is an old bodega situated at Drummond, Mendoza, built in 1928 and which was bought by the Sielecki family in 2002. They employed the highly respected Roberto de la Mota to make the wines. The wines are quite European in style, firm and structured as opposed to the more usual soft and fruity style, and are designed to develop in bottle. These wines are best enjoyed with food and benefit from decanting 30 minutes before drinking.
Powerful and full-bodied red with aromas of cassis, blackberry, cedar, spice and coffee. On the palate flavours of blackberry, chocolate and spice dominate with notes of vanilla and smoke. A long finish both layered and complex.
