A brambly, savoury nose is coupled with a nicely balanced palate of blackberry fruit, oak and supporting tannin.
A subtle and well made wine; fruit, acidity and tannin are in harmony, and altogether a rather morish glass of wine.
A garnet red colour with a delicate, appealing, intense bouquet, reminiscent of violets and dry roses, alcohol-soaked cherries, vanilla, tobacco, truffles and pepper. The taste is full, robust, austere but velvety and harmonious.
After ageing in oak barrels of different sizes for at least 2 years it refines in the bottle for 5 to 6 months. It is most appreciated for its intense ruby red colour with slight garnet reflections, it is persistent in the nose with hints of durmast, elegant and austere in the mouth.
