This Franciacorta Brut from La Romantica is made only with Chardonnay grapes slightly aged to add structure and complexity to the wine, without overpowering the fruitiness and freshness of the grape and can be drunk on its own but also accompany fish courses. Franciacorta is the Italian response to Champagne, a classic method sparkling wine, even though there are plenty more classic method, which involves the secondary fermentation in the bottle, sparkling wines made in Italy.

Gorgeous Prosecco. Not sweet but not too dry, just right. The cork has Vera Wang's name on the top and the wire holding it in place has her initials on the small tab for opening it. I bought two bottles and enjoyed the quality of the Prosecco so much that I have bought another two bottles since. Lovely as a gift if you could bear to part with it.
