The original absinthe, Henri Louis Pernod founded the world’s first absinthe distillery and their modern product still uses many of the methods and ingredients of their original blend. Deceptively milder than its high proof alcohol content, Pernod Absinthe is understated and smooth to drink with the notes of aniseed and wormwood present but not overwhelming. Light green in colour is has natural herbal aromas and a distinctive touch of lemon, best enjoyed with water and sugar.

Ardbeg Wee Beastie 5yr Islay, 70cl
An untamed young single malt from Ardbeg, Wee Beastie has spent five years in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks before being unleashed. Fresh, herbal aromas of pear, cracked black pepper, pine needles, vanilla and honey-glazed ham mingle on the nose with aniseed, green apple, leather and coffee. The palate offers notes of dark chocolate, hot tar, smoked bacon, aniseed and eucalyptus that liner in the finish.

Albert Bichot Pouilly Fuisse, 75cl
This appellation from southern Burgundy is located in the Mâconnais region around the villages of Fuissé, Solutré, Pouilly, Vergisson and Chaintré. The vines are planted on hillsides - sometimes very steep. The varying exposures result in a harvest period that lasts more than two weeks.
