Evoking the relaxed nature of a Western American coffee house, the nose of this malt is rich in roasting coffee beans, nuttiness and sweet malt. The palate is different, rich in Seville marmalade, wintry spice and cocoa drawing into a medium finish that ensures you go back for another sip.

This 18 Year Old offering from The Dalmore Distillery is a Highland whisky of much note. Rich and fruity with more than a little spice, chocolate and orange are the true stars of this malt, making it a wonderfully wintry and festive choice. The nose is rich with vanilla, orange zest and floral potpourri. The palate is wonderfully warming and perfect for sipping by the side of an open fire, chocolate raisins, sherry and pepper evoking this image. Cocoa-rich and melt in the mouth.

The name ‘Jindea’ is a portmanteau of ‘Juniper’ and the French words for India and tea, which provides a fairly accurate picture of the brand, as it is made in an alembic still in France, with juniper and first-flush Darjeeling tea as its main botanicals.
Jindea’s other botanicals are lemon, grapefruit, coriander, ginger, fennel, cardamom, cinnamon, and angelica. Maceration lasts between three and five days, followed by pot still distillation.
