This rum comes from the much celebrated Worthy Park Estate in Jamaica. Full bodied and rich with flavours of ginger, tropical fruit, oak and spice.

A classic Demerara Navy style rum produced in Guyana, Wood’s 100 blends together a range of young rums. Both pot still and continuously distilled rums make their way into the mix and it’s a distinct flavour that’s often used in tiki-style cocktails. Prunes, caramel and sweet toffee are the first aromas released on opening and they’re soon joined by nutmeg and cinnamon spiciness. Dark chocolate and fudge come through but the spiciness is the flavour that endures.

One of Brazil’s favourite Cachaça, Velho Barreiro is delicate on the nose but powerful earthy tones come through when you sip. Ripe marrow and fresh orchard fruit aromas are all present in the nose but when enjoyed neatthe flavour is crisp and clean, with a rounded flavour profile which once again allows the sweet vegetal notes to shine. This also applies when you add it to your favourite exotic cocktail, unsurprisingly a perfect partner for the other essential ingredients in a Caipirinha.

Trois Rivieres hides a lot of flavour in its crystal clear body. Punchy and awash with tangy notes, it is still smooth and is a great alternative choice for your classic Mojito or Daiquiri. Fresh peaches, plums and pears come through in the nose and its high ABV means once you sip you get the full depth of flavour in a single sucker punch. Despite its punchiness there is elegance to this rum and citrus and grassy notes come through to support the strength.

A very high-strength overproof pot-distilled molasses rum from Mauritius, Tilambic is aged for up to seven years. The 151 represents the strength in US proof, which means that this rum is 75.5% abv and as such should be used extremely carefully and not ingested neat.

The Lovers Rum is a vibrant blend of Latin American and Caribbean rums, created by the brilliant team of ex-Bacardi ambassador David Cordoba and beverage specialist Arijit Bose! It was made to be the perfect rum in a Daiquiri, and with its oodles of tropical fruit flavours, we'd absolutely have to agree... Heaps of tropical fruit here, with pineapple and passion fruit at the helm, a dusting of cinnamon, brown sugar and pink peppercorn. Hints of oak and zesty citrus appear.

Terra Dourada Cachaca, 70cl

A powerful shooter like no other Stroh 80 is an intense and fiery rum which Austria is very proud of. It’s often enjoyed atop sweet desserts and as an additional kick to a comforting hot chocolate. Sweet notes of Demerara sugar can be picked out of the fiery heat of Stroh 80, alongside a soothing butterscotch with nutmeg hints. St Aubin Rhum Agricole comes from Mauritius, and is made by distilling fresh sugar cane juice in the French method. St Aubin itself has been in the business of sugar production since 1819, and started to distil it quite recently. This particular spirit is unaged and clean, crisp and tangy.

One of the rare 100% pot still rums out there, Smith & Cross is a Jamaican favourite which allows tropical fruity flavours to define its character. A hit of pineapple is your first hint at the flavours within and the nose develops with further spicier notes of clove, pepper and intriguing hot chilli. On tasting you’ll enjoy a warm, buttery opening which bursts into a fiery chilli-based heat, peppered with cinnamon and clove. This heat is tempered by balancing vanilla and muscovado sugar notes, bringing Smith & Cross to a mellower end note.

Full bodied and packed with deep brown sugar notes, Skipper is a molasses-based rum which brings together seven different individual rums. A grand rum from the Philippines, produced by Tanduay. This expression spends five years maturing in bourbon barrels, developing a flavour profile rich in creamy vanilla and fruit. It's filtered before being bottled, removing some of its hue (though not its flavour, luckily!). Great for cocktails and mixed drinks.

Santa Theresa 1796 was released in 1996 and has had huge success and enjoyment since this date, commemorating the 200th anniversary of Santa Theresa’s foundation. With bronze amber hues and an aroma rich in honey, sherry and bitter Brazil nuts, Santa Theresa is dry on the palate and wonderfully mellow. Salto are a relatively young company based in Brazil with fresh new ideas on their countries national drink, this version is blended with Gurana berries from the rainforests of Brazil.Serve with ice & maybe some ginger beer.

The bouquet shows pungent, oak shavings, cinnamon and nutmeg with dried fruit, caramel and toffee apple. The palate is bitter cider apple, dried fruit, cut grass, woody tannins and spice (cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper) with figs, fruit cake, mocha coffee and cocoa.
