Batanga reposado Tequila is produced at the Casa Orendain, which was founded all the way back in 1926! It's distilled using 100% agave, harvested from the Orendain plantation and fermented with yeast which is locally produced at the distillery from a recipe which is over 80 years old. Batanga is named after the eponymous drink created in the 1950s, which is a simple recipe of Tequila, cola and lime juice. We're sure the Tequila itself wouldn't go amiss in one of those!

An exciting and unusual gin from Islay whisky distillery Bruichladdich, The Botanist is made in a Lomond still christened Ugly Betty and contains no fewer than 31 botanicals, of which 22 are native to the Southern Hebridean island itself. During the 1700's Spain had finally managed to establish a fully functional trade route between Spain and Mexico. High quality Spanish products were in high demand in the colonies so where often shipped to Mexico to sell. One of the more popular products of the time was a sweet Spanish raisin wine. During one of the shippings the crew drank a little bit to much of the wine and where left with almost nothing to sell. To recover the lost money they filled the empty casks with Mexican rum to sell upon thier return to Spain. The rum became so popular it was actually banned from trade and consumption in Spain. El Ron Prohibido Habanero 12 year old follows the old recipe faithfully but with a more matured product.
