Père Magloire 12 year old AOC is a single distillation Calvados which is fine and silky on the palate. This entry level Bunnahabhain single malt is a lightly peated offering from Islay and is aged for 12 years. Enjoy a light, fresh dram with a higher than average proof and a complex yet enjoyable flavour profile. The nose is rich in salty seaweed, warm malts and sweetness. This inviting aroma leads into a flavour which offers up notes of sherry, nuts, malt and juicy sultana. It’s wonderfully warming and sharply spiced without being overwhelming and it’s one you’ll find yourself reaching for time and again.

Bumbu Rum is based on a recipe dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, used by pirates and merchants as a better-tasting alternative to the grog the Royal Navy served its men. This modern interpretation takes sugarcane from eight Caribbean countries before distilling at the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados. The rum is matured in former bourbon casks for up to fifteen years and blended with all natural native Caribbean spices and pure Bajan water filtered through the coral limestone rocks of the island. No artificial flavours or colours are added. On the nose, aromas of banana are prominent, with cinnamon and vanilla sweetness. To taste, the mature rum and natural spices bring a rich complexity. Sweet and smooth, a big hit of vanilla is followed by orange peel, banana and mango. Subtle fresh herbal notes and a touch of dry tobacco come through with the spices making this an excellent spiced sipper.

The expert distillers at Bulleit offer us their sweet and fruity Rye offering, adding even more rye into the mix than their traditional bourbon. Bruichladdich Classic Laddie

The 11th edition of Bruichladdich's Black Art series is a 24-year-old unpeated single malt, drawn from casks that were filled before the Islay distillery's 2001 renaissance. Only head distiller Adam Hannett knows the recipe, with the barley and cask types remaining undisclosed for this unrepeatable expression.

Brugal 1888 was launched in 1988 to celebrate the company’s centenary and benefits from aging in ex-whisky barrels for 14 to 16 years. A portion of the blend is also aged in sherry butts and the aroma evidences this sweet sherry scent. The flavour is full-bodied and the sherry flavour remains with vanilla, toffee and vibrant liquorice notes also come through. Dry oak tannins are underlying throughout and add depth to the character of this rum.

Big zesty lemon drops and juniper notes open up into clean notes of Coriander and nutmeg. The finish is crisp and citrus driven. Good everyday drinking gin.

Made a traditional copper pot still in Cheshire, Broken Clock vodka was inspired by Leon Kuhajewski's 1816 invention of the first astronomical watch. Infused with slow-ripened apples from Shandy Hall in Coxwold, Yorkshire, Broken Clock is a sweet, herbaceous vodka with notes of apple and cinnamon crumble, and freshly-mown grass.

One of the newest offerings from Islay’s Bowmore distillery, this 18 year old single malt is perfumed, wonderfully fruity and rich with dark, smoky peat. The nose begins vibrantly, with the alcohol eat coming through amongst perfumed fruit and essence of fruit jam. When the flavour comes through it’s a balance of sweet and smoky, with deep peaty notes paired with cooked fruit and hearty marmalade. The end note is rich with sticky marmalade notes and a final whisper of smoke.

An exciting release from esteemed Islay distillery Bowmore, this 15 year old single malt enjoys maturation in fruity and elegant Oloroso sherry casks. From first opening the bottle 15 year old Bowmore is dark and punchy with sherry notes coming through strongly with sweet dates, spices and raisin present too. The flavour follows on in the same vein, rich and decadent with pine oil and rich woody spice coming through alongside malted fruits. The sherry character sells this malt every time.

At the heart of the Bowmore range, this 12 year old offering doesn’t disappoint with a mixture of coastal notes and earthy, gentle peat. On the nose you’ll enjoy wonderful bright floral notes, with smoky heather and heady hits of peat. The palate is more rounded, smooth and mellow rich if floral perfumed smoke, dark peat and a touch of lemon and sea spray. Evokes coastal strolls and waves crashing against the shore.

A dark dark rum from St Lucia, made by blending together 3-year-old column-still rum and 6-year-old pot-still rum, all aged in ex-bourbon casks. It combines the fresher and more citrusy character of the younger rum, with rich, brown sugar notes, toffee and tobacco from the older. A well-rounded and easy drinking dark rum.
