This fine blend combines 80% corn, 10% rye, and 10% malted barley, which are then processed through a 72-hour sour mash. The brainchild of J. A 12 year old dark rum from Ron Abuelo of Panama. They age their rum in whiskey barrels, which adds a distinct vanilla sweetness. This 12 year old was launched in 2009, and is elegant, slightly smoky and rich. It was awarded a Gold at the 2009 Ministry of Rum Tasting Competition.

The folks behind the marvellous Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur have only gone and create a green chile variant! The use of green chili brings and earthier, more vegetal spiciness to the flavour profile (compared the to sweetness/spice juxtaposition of the original recipe), which lends itself to being used in gin-based cocktails as well as tequila and mezcal-based tipples.

This rum comes from the much celebrated Worthy Park Estate in Jamaica. Full bodied and rich with flavours of ginger, tropical fruit, oak and spice.

Ron Matusalem went and sourced some wine casks for this limited edition release! The rum is charcoal filtered and matured in a solera system, before it's finished in casks which previously held Tempranillo wine. The tropical notes from the rum work wonderfully with the spicier notes from the wine cask, with just 8,000 bottles released. Rather snazzy bottle there, too.

Produced at Norway's Oss Craft Distillery, the Bareksten brand is all about clean flavours and ancient craft traditions, aiming to capture the raw nature of Norway within its dramatically beautiful bottles. Firmly in the driving seat of this aromatic gin is juniper, its pine-driven aroma released on opening and mingling with cedar wood. Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin is made in a small distillery in Yarra Valley, Australia. Everything the Four Pillars distillers make is based around their four pillars - the still, the water, the botanicals and love. It's sort of a bit like the four elements of hip hop. Pillar 1 - The Four Pillars copper-pot still is called Wilma. Pillar 2 - The water they use from Yarra Valley is triple filtered. Pillar 3 - They use some local botanicals (Tasmanian pepperberry, lemon myrtle), some exotic botanicals (cinnamon, cardamom, coriander seeds and star anise) and some classic botanicals (juniper, lavender, angelica root), as well as whole oranges to give Four Pillars Gin its flavour profile. A single region joven (young) mezcal from quiquiriqui. this one comes from a town with a lowland climate that produces a herbaceous, earthy and vegetal style of mezcal.100% Maguey Espadin.

Père Magloire 12 year old AOC is a single distillation Calvados which is fine and silky on the palate. Its deep golden brown colour is attributed to a minimum of 12 years maturation in oak barrels and this also adds a distinct addition to the flavour profile of the bottle. Fresh hazelnut marries with fruity banana and natural spices all coming together with the baked apple flavour which is typical of a quality Calvados.
