Siren's Call Caribbean Spiced Rum is named in honour of those who were lured into the rocky shallows by the call of the singing creatures, who may or may not have looked just like the one on the front of the label. It takes Caribbean rum and blends it with ginger and other tropical spices from the islands.

Dodo "Coconut" White Rum 1L Dodo "Coconut" rum is crafted from Mauritian molasses and column distiled. Following which it left to macerate with fresh coconut and a little sugar over a period of time for the flavours to aromas to blossom. The Salted Caramel Rum Liqueur is produced from column distilled pure sugar cane juice and reduced to 35% before being blended with natural flavours and a touch of sugar for balance. On the nose, you have a very pleasant popcorn aroma and sweetness coming through while on the palate, you can taste the creamy salted caramel. It is very smooth and leaves an after taste of fudge and hazelnut in your mouth. This Salted Caramel liqueur mixed together with the St Aubin Classic Rhum Agricole, St Aubin Rhum Classic Coffee and a freshly pulled espresso makes a mean Salted Caramel Espresso Martini. Ron Matusalem went and sourced some wine casks for this limited edition release! The rum is charcoal filtered and matured in a solera system, before it's finished in casks which previously held Tempranillo wine. The tropical notes from the rum work wonderfully with the spicier notes from the wine cask, with just 8,000 bottles released. Rather snazzy bottle there, too.

Black Tears is produced using molasses sourced from four sugar mills in the Ciego de Avila province of the country. Coffee and cacao is used to create the spice flavour in the rum, which is produced by Grupo Azucarero (AzCuba Sugar Group). The company, which was formed seven years ago, has recommended a serve of 5cl of Black Tears to 15cl tonic in a highball glass.

Bumbu Rum is based on a recipe dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, used by pirates and merchants as a better-tasting alternative to the grog the Royal Navy served its men. This modern interpretation takes sugarcane from eight Caribbean countries before distilling at the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados. The rum is matured in former bourbon casks for up to fifteen years and blended with all natural native Caribbean spices and pure Bajan water filtered through the coral limestone rocks of the island. No artificial flavours or colours are added. On the nose, aromas of banana are prominent, with cinnamon and vanilla sweetness. To taste, the mature rum and natural spices bring a rich complexity. Sweet and smooth, a big hit of vanilla is followed by orange peel, banana and mango. Subtle fresh herbal notes and a touch of dry tobacco come through with the spices making this an excellent spiced sipper.

The 54% is hidden in the chocolate notes, which brings warmth to this 12-year-old Panama rum. Nose: Heavy dark chocolate, hot cream, and touches of citrus. Salto are a relatively young company based in Brazil with fresh new ideas on their countries national drink, this version is blended with Gurana berries from the rainforests of Brazil.Serve with ice & maybe some ginger beer.
