Much-loved heavy metal band Slipknot has teamed up with Cedar Ridge Distillery to created Slipknot No.9 Whiskey! Blended by Slipknot's very own Shawn "Clown" Crahan (he can be seen sporting a clown mask when performing, hence the name), the whiskey features Iowa corn as well as a helping of rye, which brings a kick of spice to the fore. Both Slipknot and Cedar Ridge hail from Iowa, and judging by the whiskey they've made together, they seem like a fantastic fit. Made from 100% holandas spirits and aged using the traditional Criaderas y Solera system. Lepanto Solera Gran Reserva Pedro Ximenez is then aged for at least 15 years in American oak barrels; 12 in barrels previously holding Tio Pepe and three in barrels holding Noe, a 30 year old Pedro Ximenez.

Nordés Atlantic Galician Gin is an intriguing gin made with an Albariño grape based spirit , rather than your more commonly seen grain based potion , with 12 botanicals including lemon peel , hibiscus, liquorice and eucalyptus. In order to capture nature’s freshness, they invented their unbelievably cold distillation process. The result is a flavour you just can’t replicate in traditional heated stills. A vibrant, fruity new make grain spirit from Monkey Shoulder, Fresh Monkey is a combination of unaged grain and single malt spirit that were blended and bottled fresh off the still for a bold and well-balanced character. Aromas of fresh pears, tropical fruits, vanilla, sweet malt and boiled sweets fill the nose, complemented by notes of pink bubble gum, pineapple, mango, pear, malt and bonfire embers throughout the palate and lingering in the finish.

Guyanese rum, spiced and infused with cherry

MEGA YUM!  Sipsmith boys came up trumps with this one. Super silky mouthfeel with notes of lemon barley water and crushed up breakfast cereal from your schooldays. This is followed by a cramy vanilla moment before more lemon and eventually a brief hard boiled barley sugar with orange rind. Finish is meag silky and leaves you with a lovely lemon barley note and a desire for more of the same.

A dark dark rum from St Lucia, made by blending together 3-year-old column-still rum and 6-year-old pot-still rum, all aged in ex-bourbon casks. It combines the fresher and more citrusy character of the younger rum, with rich, brown sugar notes, toffee and tobacco from the older. A well-rounded and easy drinking dark rum.
