In honor of the distilleries 135th Anniversary, Four Roses has released a very special Small Batch Bourbon. Four Roses creates Bourbon from ten different recipes, and this limited edition 2023 release is comprised of 3 of those recipes, and from four different batches that range in age from 12 to 25 years.
Four Roses is an exclusive small batch bourbon that offer a distinct and sweet flavour with strong notes of molasses and cinnamon. Honey hues release honey fudge and nougat notes followed closely by cedar wood and pipe tobacco. The flavour is similarly sweet, with the honey notes married closely with cinnamon and the cedar wood gaining a smoked quality. The final notes that linger are of lightly toasted nuts with the rye content of the bourbon coming to the forefront.

Glencadam single malt Scotch Whisky here that was treated to a finish in Merlot wine casks. Master distiller Robert Fleming married several select single malts aged in bourbon American oak casks from Glencadam's historic dunnage warehouses and then finished them in Merlot wine barrels sourced from Bordeaux, France. It was bottled at 46% ABV, natural colour and un-chill-filtered.
Here we have a sherried single malt whisky from Glencadam distillery. It was first matured in Bourbon barrels before being transferred to quality Pedro Ximénez casks. In the Highland distillery's dunnage warehouses, this rich and sweet PX sherry has added layers of dried fruit and baking spice to malt. It was bottled without chill-filtration or any additional colouring.
A lovely drop here from Glencadam Distillery, made by treating its Highland single malt Scotch whisky to a finish in Pinot Noir Wine casks. The whisky was initially aged in bourbon barrels before it was given a second maturation in barrels sourced from the Burgundy region of France.
A classic Speyside offering, Glenfiddich’s 12 Year Old blend spends time in both American and European oak casks, developing a truly distinguished flavour. Finished in specially selected Caribbean rum casks, rum-like notes come through in the nose alongside figs, caramel, evoking the festive period. Malt master Brian Kinsman has given some of the distillery's peated single malt a three-month finishing period in rum casks - but not just any old rum casks. He's selected rum casks from a variety of South American countries to finish this whisky, which ought to play nicely with the burly peat notes at its core.

Fresh and rounded, this dram is vibrantly refreshing with just a little gentle spice coming through.

The nose is full and rich with woody notes, sandalwood and pine coming through with sharp resin. Potpourri and brown sugar also come through, wrapped in acacia honey and the palate too is full-bodied with oily walnuts, baking spices and fruitcake creating a delightful and enjoyable flavour.
