Spirytus Duch Puszczy Rectified Spirit is highly concentrated ethanol which has been purified by many distillations. Used in very small amounts as a base for mixed drinks. This extraordinarily strong spirit needs to be treated with respect so use it sparingly and thoughtfully.

Not for the faint-hearted Wray & Nephew Overproof is one of Jamaica’s finest spirits and packs a punch as soon as you open the bottle. A Jamaican legend, Wray & Nephew is essential for a classic Caribbean Mai Tai and it’s also the secret ingredient which many cocktail masters use to finish their drinks with a flourish. Crystal clear and powerfully sharp on the tongue Wray & Nephew Overproof is one of Jamaica’s finest exports and is perfectly paired with tropical fruit juice cocktails.

Big juniper and bitter Tyxylix flavours upon entry that move into crushed cornflakes and spicy juniper flavours. A big kick on this one that moves into hazelnut and baked rye bread on the very end. Bloody interesting stuff.

The ‘most unusual gin’ on the market, Hendrick’s is a fine Scottish gin which evokes rose gardens and quintessentially British cucumber sandwiches. The crystal clear hues allow the flavours to do the talking and silky smooth on the palate bursts with juniper berries and sharp citrus. Cumin, black pepper and liquorice add depth to the flavour and lingering floral notes are the perfect ending to a smooth and highly unusual gin.

It hardly needs introducing, it’s one of the stalwarts of the drinks cupboard! Bell’s Blended Scotch Whisky brings together the earthy flavours of many of Scotland’s finest single malts creating a blend which is improved by oak cask maturation. Rich and familiar, the taste of Bell’s is like a loyal friend and the welcome nutty flavours teamed with notes of spice are infinitely enjoyable. The eight-year maturation process guarantees a round, warming flavour.

Four Roses is an exclusive small batch bourbon that offer a distinct and sweet flavour with strong notes of molasses and cinnamon. Honey hues release honey fudge and nougat notes followed closely by cedar wood and pipe tobacco. The flavour is similarly sweet, with the honey notes married closely with cinnamon and the cedar wood gaining a smoked quality. The final notes that linger are of lightly toasted nuts with the rye content of the bourbon coming to the forefront.

Sweet summer berries squished into grape juice falvours. Layers of strawberry, raspberry and recurrent. Tartness followed by a silky and sweet finish. The kick is smooth andgives a mouthful of fat berries to finish. Classy moves from the Ciroc boys. Keep this one in the fridge for best results.

Bacardi is best known for their world famous white rum but here Bacardi 8 Year Old is an intense, red-gold offering which is exceptional when added to spiced cocktails or enjoyed neat. The aroma is awash with buttery caramel, orange marmalade and banana leaf notes which lead to a medium bodied flavour which allows sweet Demerara sugar, apricots and gingerbread to take centre stage. Butterscotch and vanilla notes linger throughout with just a touch of nutmeg spice finishing it off.

A classic Barbadian rum, Planteray 5 Year Old benefits from ex-bourbon cask barrels and Cognac barrels used in its maturation process. The flavour this delivers is unlike any other rum and gives its nose an intense leathery profile with spicy cinnamon and aromatic coconut too. On tasting Plantation 5 is surprisingly sweet with clear notes of molasses and that leathery depth from the scent. Salted butter and allspice add a distinguishing finish and ensure the fire remains strong to the last drop.

Produced by the Teeling Whiskey Company, this is a delicious small-batch blend with a very high malt content. Interestingly enough, it's also been matured in rum casks for added spice.

Basil, green apple and honey on the nose, on the palate there is grapefruit, green grapes, peppermint and thyme the finish is subtly sweet and a spicy finish with a hint of vanilla oak white pepper and ginger.

Kohaku No Madoromi Shochu is a classic example of a traditional shochu made with 85% sweet potato and 15% rice, and is rich, bursting with undergrowth aromas, velvety on the palate, and delicately sweet in the finish.

An award-winner with additional sloe , what’s not to like? Sipsmith’s London Dry gin has been combined wonderfully with fresh hand-picked sloe berries at the height of ripeness. The end result is the rich and luxurious sloegin which simply bursts with fresh fruit flavour. Redcurrant and winter fruit aromas are released on opening and on tasting cassis and hints of warm cherry come through, offering a rounded flavour which benefits from a velvet smooth mouth feel and balanced sweetness. A must for all sloe gin fans.

Bas Armagnac Sempe VS, 70cl

Produced in Armenia, Ararat Akhtamar is a 10 year old brandy with a rich, fruity flavour. The brandy is made with a selection of wines and pure spring water. Nose: Sweet, spicy nose. Hints of vanilla and plum jam. Toffee and a little potpourri. Palate: Rounded, creamy palate entry. Notes of sultanas and creamy vanilla. Dried apricots. Finish: Cinnamon and toasted oak. Regular tipple of the Late Winson Churchill....

All the way from Melbourne, Australia comes Starward Left-Field, a fab single malt whisky that was designed to be enjoy... Well, however you fancy enjoying it! A rounded and flavoursome expression, having matured in Australian red wine barrels, Left-Field shows off generous helpings of dried fruit, maple syrup, and baking spice notes. Enjoy neat, with a mixer, splash it in a cocktail – it's a versatile whisky suitable for all sorts of serves!

The blend of malt whiskies ­– one of which has been peated – is specifically designed to add a smoky twist to a range of classic Scotch whisky cocktails.

astis d'Antan Combier is a traditional sugar-free pastis. This anise-flavored spirit contains many other plants and spices such as coriander, clove, cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Aalborg Taffel is a classic Aquavit, released in 1846. It has a lovely caraway, citrus flavour, and was heralded as Best Aquavit in the World at the 2002 International Wine and Spirit Competition.

A powerful shooter like no other Stroh 80 is an intense and fiery rum which Austria is very proud of. It’s often enjoyed atop sweet desserts and as an additional kick to a comforting hot chocolate. Sweet notes of Demerara sugar can be picked out of the fiery heat of Stroh 80, alongside a soothing butterscotch with nutmeg hints. The intensity of Stroh 60 shouldn’t be underestimated and each taste will linger long after finishing.

Part of the new core range of whiskies launched by Isle of Jura in early 2018, this 10 year old expression takes the place of Jura Origin. It's initially aged in American white oak bourbon barrels before enjoying a finishing period in Oloroso sherry butts and bottled at 40% ABV. It has the subtle smoke characteristic of Jura's excellent Island single malts, with robust vanilla and an intense kick of sherried sweetness underneath.

The Warner Edwards distillers in Northamptonshire have brought us another flavour of excellent gin - they have been prolific since their start in 2012. This time, they've gone regal and created Rhubarb Gin, , as well as their Harrington Dry Gin. They also add just enough sugar to balance out the acidity from the rhubarb, producing a spirit with plenty of sweetness and some subtle, enjoyably sour notes emanate from the rhubarb.

An oaky, spicy bourbon, Horse With No Name is made with a combination of yellow dent Texas corn, soft red winter wheat and six-row distiller’s malt, and then blended with habanero chilli distillate to give it a fruity note.
