Terra Dourada Cachaca, 70cl

Tesla Sljivo is 100% natural plum brandy and lives up to that label. Distilled in Croatia, this is an authentically traditional Eastern European drink. The tell tale plum flavour lasts from nose to finish and intertwines with a vanilla sweetness and cinnamon spice. There is a slight sharpness to the alcohol, which can also be heavily detected on the nose, but this works well with the plum and creates a sharp yet smooth expression.

An exciting and unusual gin from Islay whisky distillery Bruichladdich, The Botanist is made in a Lomond still christened Ugly Betty and contains no fewer than 31 botanicals, of which 22 are native to the Southern Hebridean island itself. The latter include the likes of mugwort, meadowsweet and the enigmatic Lady's Bedstraw flowers, and the resultant dry gin is described, perhaps unsurprisingly, as 'floral'.

First launched in 2008, The Dalmore 12 Year Old is a single malt rich in coffee and toasty warm notes. Spicy and thick in the mouth, it’s a very rich malt which stands out amongst its peers. Evoking the relaxed nature of a Western American coffee house, the nose of this malt is rich in roasting coffee beans, nuttiness and sweet malt. The palate is different, rich in Seville marmalade, wintry spice and cocoa drawing into a medium finish that ensures you go back for another sip.

The Dalmore 15 Year Old first hit the market in 2007 and benefits from maturation in apostoles, amoroso and matusalem sherry casks. The chocolate that The Dalmore is known for is present with abundance alongside zesty orange and wintry spices. The nose is simply melting with orange zest and cocoa, with floral notes adding a further character dimension. Tokinoka Black is a Japanese whisky that was created by Akito Ueda, master blender at the White Oak distillery. It was made with a blend of malt whisky (50%) and grain whisky (50%) before being in matured three different types of casks - ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and new oak barrels. This edition is bottled at 50% ABV

Tomintoul is a young and enjoyable single malt, with just 10 years spent maturing. Known as the gentle dram, Tomintoul has been crafted and matured in bourbon casks delivering a flavour which is clean yet creamy and well-balanced. On the nose you’ll get toffee-laced citrus with a light hint of raisin and on tasting the palate is truly clean, with sweetness balanced gently with oak spice. The spicy notes linger into the finish, providing a peppy end note.

We're big fans of white Port, and of whisky obviously, but it's not too often that the two meet, so this rare occasion is most welcome! Distilled at Tomintoul in 2008, this 14-year-old single-malt Scotch was finished in white Port casks, imparting delicious sweet, vinous notes to the elegant malt at its core.
