Mastiha is a fascinating liqueur created in Greece using the resin of the rare mastiha tree grown on the Greek island of Chios. It's not often seen, but when you do, it's always worth a look. This particular expression is Kleos Mastiha, produced by master distiller Maroussa Tsaxaki using the mastiha tears (the hardened resin) and mastiha essential oils. The name comes from a Greek word meaning “fame or glory attained through good deeds and hard work” - which is clearly an admirable thing to aspire to!

Rich and deep with distinctive smoke, peat and seaside minerality - this expression is unmistakably Laphroaig. This is a result of liquid being drawn from a selection of casks including first fill sherry butts, smaller quarter casks and our most precious stock capturing the timeless passion and very essence of the Laphroaig Distillery. This is our story. This is Laphroaig Lore. Tasting notes: Colour - Deep mahogany. Nose - Rich and smoky with seaside minerals with a hint of ash and bitter chocolate drops. Vanilla follows with oily unroasted chestnuts and a hint of fudge with a malty sweetness. A drop of water adds a creamy clotted cream note with fruit appearing in the form of unripe citrus in a flan glaze. Palate - Richly peaty with a spicy chilli bite. Finish - Short dry finish and a long sweet aftertaste.

A classic liqueur Kummel is a refreshing and sweet smelling drink which is packed full of flavour. Syrupy in the mouth, each sip is full-bodied and fiery, with pronounced notes of caraway, aniseed and hints of citrus and fresh peppermint. The heat gives way to a sugary sweetness which is very welcome and blends wonderfully with the deeper, spicier notes. Caraway and aniseed linger on considerably after drinking.

An artisinal mezcal from folks at Ojo de Dios, made from Espadin agave. The agave is roasted for around 10 days to create a delicate, smoky flavour that beautifully complements notes of plum, toasted pineapple and apricot.

A Bolivian grape brandy produced in collaboration with film maker Stephen Soderbergh, as he travels the world looking for examples of "exceptional human endeavour". Singani is distilled from Muscat of Alexandria grapes in the high valleys of Bolivia and is the country's national drink, but until now has not made it far from home. Singani 63 is a clean and crisp spirit, with a touch of aromatic grape.

Produced in Oaxaca, Ilegal Joven is a young Mezcal which has the distinctive flavour of roasted agave and earthy tones which help it stand out from the crowd. Its aroma are fresh and youthful, with fresh flowers, peppermint and tobacco notes all coming through. It has a complex herbal character which is softened by caramel and raisin flavours and spiced up with black pepper heat. It ends with the floral notes at the forefront.

Michter’s 10 year old single barrel Kentucky straight rye continues the legacy of America’s first whiskey variety (rye) company (Michter’s, originally known as Shenk’s). Deep notes of vanilla and toffee, toasted almonds and cinnamon Ample dose of crushed pepper and a hint of orange citrus Proof: 92.8 ABV: 46.4%

A solid and spicy rye made to the Michter's recipe, although not distilled at the now closed Schaefferstown distillery. Nonetheless, Michter's is a name with a certain cult cachet in American whiskey circles, and we reckon this will be a big hit over here. We cannot guarantee specific barrel number or year of release of these bottles.
