The newest release from Glenfiddich Distillery in Speyside, Glenfiddich Grande Couronne 26 Year Old is an exceptional and opulent single malt whisky for the most meaningful occasions. This whisky is aged for 26 years in American and European oak casks including an extended finish in rare French cognac casks – its crowning glory. Bottled at 43.8% abv and presented in a wonderful display case – an impressive gift for any special occasion. The nose is full of French patisserie sweetness, baked tarte tatin and toasted oak. The palate reveals a smooth and rich whisky, café crème with plenty sweetness, leading to a long and velvety finish, with a hint of spice and oak.

An untamed young single malt from Ardbeg, Wee Beastie has spent five years in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks before being unleashed. Fresh, herbal aromas of pear, cracked black pepper, pine needles, vanilla and honey-glazed ham mingle on the nose with aniseed, green apple, leather and coffee. The palate offers notes of dark chocolate, hot tar, smoked bacon, aniseed and eucalyptus that liner in the finish.

Here we have an extra-special Lagavulin, released as one of Diageo’s Special Releases for 2021. It was distilled back in 1994, and has spent twenty-six years maturing in a carefully-chosen blend of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.

An excellent rye from Old Potrero, this is a truly exceptional and unique example of rye whisky as it was originally made in the 18th Century.

Each barrel is hand selected to ensure the flavour is absolutely perfect before bottling. The nose is rich with toasted oak notes as well as warm corn and cereal-inspired sweetness. There’s a note of smoke in there which is brought out strongly in the flavour and teams beautifully with nut oils and a spicy aniseed depth. A hint of citrus comes through in the end note and keeps you going back for another taste.

Colour Golden Islay sunset. Nose Warm & fiery, roasting peat kiln, some citrus notes after the smoke. Palate Oily, burnt toffee, juicy barley and rich peat smoke. Conclusion Lively, peaty and full of flavour.

One of the three official Craigellachie bottlings released in 2014, their 13 year old single malt Scotch whisky handsomely shows off the bold, robust character of the distillery's output. MINOR CASE STRAIGHT RYE WHISKY is “what might have been” in a bottle; In 1871, M.C. Beam began his distilling career under the supervision of his Uncle Jack Beam. By 1883, he was a partner at his own operation, where he brought his son Guy — Steve and Paul Beam’s grandfather — into the business, reawakening the stills that were silenced by Prohibition. Minor Case is an ode to what master distiller M.C. Beam’s rye whiskey would have tasted like had he not been stifled by Prohibition, aged in cream sherry casks for an unforgettable flavor. Nose: Earthy notes and sweet sherry Palate: Hint of sweet butterscotch Finish: Smooth, with hints of dried fruits--- Nose: Mince pie and stem ginger. Touches of dusty oak and honey'd cereal. Palate: A core of clove and soda bread, surrounded by cinnamon, cedar and blueberry muffin notes. Finish: Cacao, raspberry and cinnamon.

This 21 Year Old Balvenie malt is the flagship of Balvenie’s small group of Port Wood whiskies and is a refined and balanced offering. It spends time maturing in thirty year old port pipes which deliver elegance to every sip. White peach and light smoke flood the nose and are quickly followed by a delicate flavour with red fruits, raisins and vibrant floral honey. Balvenie’s 21 Year Old malt is a wonderful example of delicate flavours blended perfectly together.

With Legent, we finally get to see the results of the merging of Beam and Suntory in liquid form. This is a fun east meets the west bottle. Legent is a result of years of collaboration between Fred Noe, Jim Beam Master Distiller, and Shinji Fukuyo, Suntory Chief Blender. It’s an effort of uniting a master blender and a distiller from two different worlds. It began with Fred distilling the bourbon in Kentucky. Shinji visited Kentucky to taste the barrels throughout the aging process. Once the whiskeys were ready to be blended, Shinji stepped in with his blending expertise..
