Brugal 1888 was launched in 1988 to celebrate the company’s centenary and benefits from aging in ex-whisky barrels for 14 to 16 years. A portion of the blend is also aged in sherry butts and the aroma evidences this sweet sherry scent. Bumbu Spiced Rum, 70cl

Bumbu Rum is based on a recipe dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, used by pirates and merchants as a better-tasting alternative to the grog the Royal Navy served its men. This modern interpretation takes sugarcane from eight Caribbean countries before distilling at the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados. The rum is matured in former bourbon casks for up to fifteen years and blended with all natural native Caribbean spices and pure Bajan water filtered through the coral limestone rocks of the island. No artificial flavours or colours are added. On the nose, aromas of banana are prominent, with cinnamon and vanilla sweetness. To taste, the mature rum and natural spices bring a rich complexity. Good things come to those that wait… like so much of 2020 the release of our new Cask Islay bourbon edition was delayed, however we are delighted to announce it is available now! In contrast to our Cask Islay sherry edition, released in October 2019, this edition has been fully matured in 1st fill Kentucky bourbon barrels. To create this edition, our bourbon barrels were transported to Islay and filled with new make spirit distilled on 5th February 2014 - the same date we filled our sherry casks for our sherry limited edition. They were then laid to rest to let the magic happen and after years of careful monitoring, 20 casks were selected for this batch.
