Created in 1860, while Jean-Baptiste Combier was in prison, this blend of Original Combier, Elixir Combier and VSOP cognac, along with a variety of herbs and spices, is packed full of orange and spice. Great on its own or in cocktails when you need a bit more spice than a triple sec can deliver.

A classic liqueur Kummel is a refreshing and sweet smelling drink which is packed full of flavour. Syrupy in the mouth, each sip is full-bodied and fiery, with pronounced notes of caraway, aniseed and hints of citrus and fresh peppermint. The heat gives way to a sugary sweetness which is very welcome and blends wonderfully with the deeper, spicier notes. Caraway and aniseed linger on considerably after drinking.

Based on a recipe that dates back to the 15th century, Tuaca is a brandy-based liqueur which brings together a number of brandies, a secret blend of fruits and spices and just a little sugar to blend it all together in harmony. There’s nothing wicked about this little witch, Strega, the Italian word for witch, is an aromatic and legendary liqueur. The mythical history of the drink tells us that female sprits made it and used it to cast spells on lovesick humans, so there was a little bit of witchcraft involved! Over 70 different barks and herbs give Strega it’s rich and aromatic flavour, enjoyable to the last sip with a strong herbaceous mouth.

A delicious Italian limoncello from Evangelista – a family owned company founded by Mayor Antonio Evangelista in 1907 in the Chieti region of central Italy, a particularly cold mountainous area.

One of the most famous triple sec style liqueurs around Cointreau is the first choice ingredient for many citrus cocktails and the recipe has been perfected to the point where it’s simply a must buy for many. On the nose is fresh and tangy, orange oils coming through thick and fast and unlike other bitter-led triple sec style liqueurs Cointreau is intensely sweet leading into a dry finish. Nutmeg and lemon come through in the finish too.

The intensity of sweet, tart raspberries is perfectly contained within each bottle of Chambord. Black and red raspberries are wonderfully balanced together creating a delectable liqueur which is finished with smooth natural honey and exotic Madagascan vanilla. RinQuinQuin à la Pêche is made using three different types of peach - Cardinale, Coronet and Junegold. As if this wasn't enough peach for you, they also used the leaves from peach trees, harvests just before autumn. The leaves and peaches are all macerated separately in alcohol and white wine. Afterwards, the liquid is added to the white wine, while the solids left over are distilled and added to the mix. Perfect for a summer aperitif, RinQuinQuin à la Pêche goes well with tonic water or served long and over ice. The term RinQuinQuin was originally a generic word.
