With Legent, we finally get to see the results of the merging of Beam and Suntory in liquid form. This is a fun east meets the west bottle. Legent is a result of years of collaboration between Fred Noe, Jim Beam Master Distiller, and Shinji Fukuyo, Suntory Chief Blender. It’s an effort of uniting a master blender and a distiller from two different worlds. It began with Fred distilling the bourbon in Kentucky. Shinji visited Kentucky to taste the barrels throughout the aging process. Once the whiskeys were ready to be blended, Shinji stepped in with his blending expertise..

A much-anticipated release, which has been produced using barley grown in the Cotswolds, distilled in their Forsyths copper pot stills (Mary & Janis) and aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and red wine casks. Appleton Rare 12 Year Rum brings together rums of ages between 12 and 18 offering one of the finest quality aged rums that Jamaica has to offer. The age of this rum is apparent from the moment you open it, with a thick and rich nose packed full of buttery vanilla and nutty spice notes. It is rich and creamy on the palate with an oaky biscuit flavour. The oaky notes are the most prominent to the end.

Matured in ex-madeira and ex-brandy cases this rum is awash with welcomingly sweet flavours as well as spiced notes. Spicy cooking apples are surrounded by notes of freshly baked pastry, cinnamon and nutmeg leading into a long and satisfying end of toffee apple and oak.

Remy Martin VSOP Mature Cask benefits from a precise maturation process which involves placing the eaux de vie in specially selected Limousin oak casks that are more than 20 years old. A very high-strength overproof pot-distilled molasses rum from Mauritius, Tilambic is aged for up to seven years. The 151 represents the strength in US proof, which means that this rum is 75.5% abv and as such should be used extremely carefully and not ingested neat.

White Mauritius Rum lightly spiced. On the nose you will get a nice pleasant light sweet coconut aromas which gives way to a full round mellow coconut taste on the palate.

Produced in Oaxaca, Ilegal Joven is a young Mezcal which has the distinctive flavour of roasted agave and earthy tones which help it stand out from the crowd. Its aroma are fresh and youthful, with fresh flowers, peppermint and tobacco notes all coming through. It has a complex herbal character which is softened by caramel and raisin flavours and spiced up with black pepper heat. It ends with the floral notes at the forefront.

American Oak is Seattle-based distillery Westland's flagship release. Made with barley from Washington, this is rich and creamy with notes of chocolate custard, almond and bananas. Seattle distillery Westland uses locally sourced ingredients to create American single malt whiskies that honour the tradition of American whiskey-making with a Pacific North West twist.

Eminente Reserva 7 Year Old is a particularly snazzy Cuban rum, made with 100% Cuban sugar cane. Bright and clean, but with plenty of complex and depth as it develops on the palate, with rich coffee and tobacco notes sitting alongside fruity cherry and floral wafts. Should do very well simply sipped neat, but we reckon it'll also make for a great Palmetto or Rum Old Fashioned...

The original absinthe, Henri Louis Pernod founded the world’s first absinthe distillery and their modern product still uses many of the methods and ingredients of their original blend. Deceptively milder than its high proof alcohol content, Pernod Absinthe is understated and smooth to drink with the notes of aniseed and wormwood present but not overwhelming. Light green in colour is has natural herbal aromas and a distinctive touch of lemon, best enjoyed with water and sugar.

This entry level Bunnahabhain single malt is a lightly peated offering from Islay and is aged for 12 years. Enjoy a light, fresh dram with a higher than average proof and a complex yet enjoyable flavour profile. The nose is rich in salty seaweed, warm malts and sweetness. A sustainably-made artisanal Tequila from Mijenta, made by Maestra Tequilera Ana Maria Romero. Elegant and complex, the palate offers notes of cantaloupe, honey and cinnamon that linger in the finish.

A lively pear eau de vie with rich fruit notes, celebrating the best known of all pears, Conference. Single vintage from 2022, and single variety, locally sourced in Kent from our sustainable producers. Purely made using fresh pears and champagne yeast, then double pot distilled for a silky smooth spirit with a fantastic nose and a rich, fruity flavour profile. Excellent after dinner sipping spirit.

Ardbeg is another Scottish single malt of much worth. Straight from cask to bottle, Ardbeg offers a unique flavour which is different to others from regions. Tree bark, peat and vanilla fudge aromas are first to escape and on tasting a burst of smokiness, sea salt and sweet aniseed vanilla hit the palate. Honeyed notes help to mellow it out but it’s the smoky peat flavour which lingers on.

Released in 2015, Woodford Reserve Rye is only the third expression in the core range. 53% of the mashbill is rye, leading to notes of apple and sweet spice.
