The Lakes Gin is our classic English gin with vibrant notes of juniper, cracked black pepper and orange peel. We elevate flavour by using only a select few botanicals, gently infusing them in the finest British wheat spirit, distilling in our traditional copper pot still and only drawing the purest water from our Lake District National Park home in a UNESCO World Heritage Site. By steeping the botanicals overnight like loose-leaf tea, they interact freely with the warm spirit to encourage the essential oils to release more slowly, protecting their delicate nature. The traditional copper pot still then runs slow and long to extract the maximum amount of flavour.

El Rayo Tequila pays homage to the legend that lightning struck an agave plant, cooking it and creating the first ever Tequila. This particular expression is not made with lightning, but with 105 year old copper stills, which distil the agave twice before its bottled up. Very handsome bottles too, mind.

Cask Islay is a small batch release from A.D. Rattray from an undisclosed distillery on the island. A whisky that will entice both Islay fans and be a great place for neophytes to start. Colour Golden Islay sunset. Nose Warm & fiery, roasting peat kiln, some citrus notes after the smoke. Palate Oily, burnt toffee, juicy barley and rich peat smoke. Conclusion Lively, peaty and full of flavour.

From the pristine lagoons to the lush jungles, Plantation Isle of Fiji is an ode to the beauty of the Fiji Islands and beautiful they are too! This delicious rum is made using traditional techniques and local Fijian sugar cane. First aged in this tropical climate in bourbon casks, the rum is then sailed to the southwest of France for a second maturation in French oak casks. This double ageing method paired with Fijian know-how creates a rum with warm notes of exotic fruits and raisin.

An exciting and unusual gin from Islay whisky distillery Bruichladdich, The Botanist is made in a Lomond still christened Ugly Betty and contains no fewer than 31 botanicals, of which 22 are native to the Southern Hebridean island itself. The latter include the likes of mugwort, meadowsweet and the enigmatic Lady's Bedstraw flowers, and the resultant dry gin is described, perhaps unsurprisingly, as 'floral'.

Tomintoul is a young and enjoyable single malt, with just 10 years spent maturing. Known as the gentle dram, Tomintoul has been crafted and matured in bourbon casks delivering a flavour which is clean yet creamy and well-balanced. On the nose you’ll get toffee-laced citrus with a light hint of raisin and on tasting the palate is truly clean, with sweetness balanced gently with oak spice. The spicy notes linger into the finish, providing a peppy end note.

The first line extension to the Maker's Mark range since the '50s, Maker's 46 is essentially the standard expression with added spice. This was not intended to compete with the core expression, instead it's a cousin to it, something different for those that like spicy bourbon. They add this extra dimension by inserting seared French oak staves into the barrels (with the stave profile "number 46" - thus the name). It's utterly stunning. Yet it is 47% abv . Confusing.

Launched to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Pampero, Anniversario rum is produced for Venezuelan molasses and matured in pungent ex-bourbon cask. As you open up the short, squat bottle you’ll enjoy treacle rich aromas with festive spice notes. The flavour is welcomingly sweet but rounded and spicy oak notes sit comfortably alongside dried fruit and nutmegs. Gingerbread coffee spice carries the drink through to the end with a satisfyingly warm finish.

Luxurious offering from Poland. Medium bodied with faint vanila any crushed grains. The finish is of a reasonable length with butter and nutty cream notes that fade into lemon zest.

Olmeca Altos Plata has been described as the perfect choice for a margarita and its 100% agave content delivers a satisfying sweetness. On opening its white pepper, sea salt and vegetal notes which come through strongly, with agave in the background. This changes when you taste as the viscous feel on the palate is full of sweet agave, notes of lime, nutmeg, salt and hot white pepper. Balanced sweetness and spice is what makes this tequila worth trying.

The one that started it all! Pepper and pepprmint notes start up upon entry. These move aside as a clean sweetness takes over and then finishes with white pepper and a faint yet recognizable licqourice ending. Classic little number that we've all done time with.

Wild Turkey 101 has been aged for eight years at a much higher proof than they’re traditional bourbon. This delivers a more intense, alcohol-heavy nose but also a deeper, more complex flavour. You wouldn’t know it from the nose as it’s light and unassuming but once you sip you’ll taste the depth of sweetness within this bourbon alongside the toasty alcohol burn. Pepper, caramel and honey are stand out flavours in this intense bourbon and it’s certainly one to remember.
